SURGICAL SCARS

SURGICAL SCARS

Surgical scars are created when skin is rejoined surgically. These can include breast augmentation, tummy tucks, liposuction, C-section, facelift, etc.  The aftereffects of the surgery usually leave a noticeable scar that is either lighter or darker than the existing skin. Scar camouflage paramedical tattoo using pigments that match the surrounding skin colour can leave the scar looking less noticeable, blending camouflaging into the surrounding skin.

SURGICAL AND NON-SURGICAL SCAR TREATMENTS

SURGICAL SCAR TREATMENTS

One method of reducing the look of scars is a process called scar revision.  This is an elective surgery performed by a plastic surgeon to help reduce the look of the scars.

Skin Grafts

Skin grafts is a surgical procedure where healthy tissue is removed from one part of the body and attached to the damaged skin.  Skin flaps are like skin grafts, but the part of the skin used has its own blood supply.

Z-plasty

Z-plasty is a surgical procedure where a surgeon will cut along both sides of the scar, and creates angled flaps that can change scar direction, reduce scar tension, and make the scar less visible.

Micro Needling

Micro needling is a dermaroller procedure that uses tiny needles to prick the skin.  The purpose of microneedling is to generate new collagen and skin tissue. With treatments the scar area becomes smoother, more toned, and firmer.

Paramedical Tattoo

Paramedical tattoo is a cosmetic procedure where specialized ink is placed into the dermis of the skin with a traditional tattoo machine. The pigment colour is matched to the surrounding skin colour of the scar.  After the treatment, the scar marks are evened out and minimized, giving you an all-natural blended look between the scar and surrounding skin area.

Paramedical Tattoo VS Permanent Makeup

Paramedical tattoo is not micropigmentation or permanent makeup, which does not go into the skin as deeply as paramedical tattoo.  By using traditional tattoo methods, the process goes deeper into the dermis resulting in a permanent camouflaged tattoo. It is like traditional tattoos methods but using specialized blended camouflaged skin colour pigments instead of tattoo inks.
